Organizers of this year’s Quinte Business Achievement Awards aren’t sure how this annual ceremony will look quite yet but they are still hoping for plenty of nominations.
Quinte West Chamber of Commerce Events Coordinator Morgan Scott says last year they received over 2,000 nominations and they hope to meet that same number this year.
There are 12 categories in which to nominate a Quinte area business and anyone (volunteer, resident, employee) can nominate a business for the 24th annual event.
Businesses in Belleville, Quinte West, Picton and Brighton are eligible.
Scott says the winners will be announced on October 23 during Small Business Week.
She says organizers are hopeful the event will go ahead but are researching a number of different ways to hold the event if social gatherings are not permitted.
The event will feature the awarding of the Honorary Life-Time Member, Kelly Scott.
This year, the Belleville Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event.
Nominations are now open at qbaa.ca until June 30.
