Belleville Police Service responded to 65 calls for service from June 2, 2020 at 5 a.m. to June 3, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Breach of Undertaking
On June 2, 2020 at approximately 3:00 p.m., police responded to a west end apartment complex regarding a male who was causing a disturbance. As a result of police investigation a 19-year-old Belleville man was found to be breaching conditions from previous charges. The male was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service where he has been charged with Failure to Comply with an Undertaking and is being held for a show cause hearing.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On June 2, 2020 at 7:44 p.m., police responded to the area of Sidney Street and College Street regarding a 3-vehicle collision. There were minor injuries and significant damages to the vehicles. One of the drivers was transported to the Belleville General Hospital with minor injuries and the collision is still under police investigation.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5 a.m. on June 3, 2020. Police responded to several incidents that ended peacefully with police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
