The province’s Special Investigations Unit has been called in after a man was injured in an interaction with Lennox and Addington OPP officers Tuesday night.
Police were called to a home on County Road 4 in Loyalist Township after reports of a domestic incident and found a woman had suffered minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle.
OPP and a K9 unit searched the area and found a male suspect two hours later.
The 30-year-old man was arrested but was injured and was taken to hospital for treatment.
He was charged with assault with a weapon spousal, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and other charges.
He is in custody pending a bail hearing in Napanee.
