A familiar name has some company on top of the local Fraser Institute Secondary School rankings.
Trenton-based French-speaking Ecole Secondaire Publique Marc-Garneau again ranked first among local high schools last year but right there with it is Trenton’s St. Paul Secondary School.
Both schools scored a 6.7 out of 10 in the rankings which are derived from province-wide grade 9 math tests and literacy test results that are first taken by students in grade 10.
In 2018 Ecole Marc-Garneau scored 7.6.
Here are the rankings for high schools under the jurisdiction of the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.
Bayside 5.8, Centre Hastings 5.1, Moira (Eastside Secondary) 5.0, North Hastings 4.8, Prince Edward County 4.3, Trenton 3.4.
Other than St. Paul, the rankings for local Catholic high schools are the following.
Nicholson 6.3, St. Theresa 3.6.
In Northumberland County East Northumberland Secondary School in Brighton scored a 5.3 out of 10.
