An accident on North Front Street in front of the Metro Grocery Store in Belleville left one driver with moderate injuries and the other facing charges on Friday afternoon.
At 2:10 p.m., Belleville Police, fire services and emergency services were called to the scene of a two vehicle motor collision.
One driver was trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated and taken to Quinte Health Care with moderate injuries, while the other was charged with failing to yield to traffic from a private driveway.
Both vehicles were towed from the crash scene. Police had to shut down all lanes of traffic on North Front Street for 45 minutes.
