Drugs and other items found in PEC traffic stop

A traffic stop by Prince Edward County OPP on Loyalist Parkway in Hallowell Ward around 2 p.m. Thursday resulted in the arrest of two people and the seizure drugs and other items.

During the traffic stop police found that the driver’s licence was suspended and the investigation led to the arrest of both people in the vehicle.

The items seized include:

· A quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine

· Drug paraphernalia

· A quantity of new, with tags, high-end sports apparel and footwear.

· A quantity of new, in the box, Milwaukee cordless power tools.

· A quantity of new, in the box, electronics.

· Approximately 25 gift cards with magnetic stripes.

· Homemade electronic device believed to be a radio frequency identification skimmer.

· Numerous large retail store receipts.

· A computer tablet.

· Numerous barcodes with tape.

· Bank documents in another person’s name.

Thirty-seven-year-0ld Dawid Mokszan of Toronto and 50-year-old Krzysztof Harasiuk of Oakville have both been charged with:

-Possession of a schedule one substance – Methamphetamine

-Identity theft – obtain or possess another person’s identity information

-Possess instrument for purpose of copying credit card

-Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

Mokszan has also been charged with:

-Obstruct peace officer

-Fail to comply with recognizance -five counts

-Driving while under suspension

The men are scheduled for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 29, 2020.
