There is good news for Belleville boaters as the city says both Meyers Pier and Victoria Harbour marinas will be opening this Saturday.
City staff say the health and safety of staff and boaters is paramount and a number of different protocols are being put in place because of that, including staggered lift-in times and limits on some services.
Seasonal boaters will be able to book or rent harbour slips, get help in docking vessels if needed and will have access to fuel, power, pump outs and washrooms.
However, there will be no access to storefront retail sales, laundry and shower facilities, bike rentals, picnic tables and dock carts.
Transient bookings are not available for the time being, except in the case of an emergency. The Pier Patio and Grill won’t be opening yet either.
