It was a scorcher yesterday (Tuesday), but 10 years ago on May 26 it was even warmer.
Yesterday’s high, as measured at CFB Trenton, was 30.4 degrees celsius, which works out to almost 87 degrees fahrenheit.
However on May 26 2010 the mercury climbed to 33.4 degrees.
Meanwhile, a new high temperature record is likely to be set today as the forecast is calling for highs near 30 degrees.
The record for a May 27 in the Quinte region is 28.6 degrees, set back in 1977.
