Belleville city council will decide whether or not to start planning for future park and recreation facilities at its virtual meeting this afternoon.
City staff is recommending pre-budget approval be given to spending almost $237,000 including tax for a consulting firm to create a two-phase Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
Staff is recommending Toronto area consulting firm Sierra Planning and Management do the work as the most qualified of five bidders.
The company placed third in terms of cost.
