Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit has provided Quinte News with some preliminary information as it investigates a single
vehicle collision in Quinte West early Friday night.

The collision occurred south of Westlake Road on Stockdale Road between Trenton and Batawa.
OPP tried to stop a vehicle around Wooler Road for a traffic infraction but it sped away from police.
Shortly after the vehicle left Stockdale Road and rolled into a ditch.
The 24 year old man driving and the passenger, a 23 year old man, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The SIU investigates incidents involving death, serious injury, and sexual assault where police are involved.
