While organizers aren’t sure what this year’s gala will look like, they are hopeful the annual event will continue.
The Quinte Business Achievement Awards have celebrated business excellence in the region for the last 20 years and last year there were over 2,000 nominees with nearly 400 guests attending the QBAA gala.
Jill Raycroft QBAA 2020 Chair says they remain hopeful the restrictions on gatherings will be loosened and they aren’t sure what the presentation format will look like, but they are actively researching ways to bring the presentation together while also incorporating the guidelines and precautions outlined by Public Health Officials.
During the month of June, Quinte residents, customers, employees, and volunteers are asked to identify and congratulate the many hard-working and successful businesses, not-for-profit organizations and business people in their community by submitting nominations.
Any business, organization or businessperson in Brighton, Belleville, Quinte West or Prince Edward County can be nominated.
Nominations are accepted by phone at 613-392-7635 or anonymously online at www.qbaa.ca.
The deadline to submit nominations is June 30, 2020.
A panel of independent judges will make the tough decisions in October and the winners will be announced at the Quinte Business Achievement Awards presentation on October 23.
The Quinte Business Achievement Awards has celebrated business excellence in areas such as entrepreneurship, business development, marketing success, customer service, company practices, community involvement, growth and expansion, innovation, and employee training and development.
