A Belleville man was arrested and charged with uttering death threats early Wednesday afternoon after allegations that a construction worker had been threatened.
Police say the construction worker was loading drywall on Front Street when he was threatened by a man he didn’t know.
A suspect took off but police flooded the area and arrested a man on North Front Street.
Aaron Edwards, 43, faces charges.
Meanwhile, there was quite a commotion in the west of Belleville late Wednesday night.
Shortly after 11 o’clock, police dispatch received a hang-up 911 call but were able to locate the area that the call came from.
There was a loud disturbance inside a residence and officers entered and had to arrest a man in an uncontrollable rage.
A woman was also inside.
Fortunately there were no injuries but there was some damage to the home’s interior.
The 30-year-old man was taken into custody but released after he calmed down.
