There is important news for charities and other non-profit organizations that are involved in helping people deal with the COVID-19 pandemic locally.
The United Way Hastings & Prince Edward and the County Foundation are now accepting applications to receive funding from the federal government’s Emergency Community Support Fund.
The United Way will distribute $450,000 of approved funding to organizations in Hastings and Prince Edward counties while the County Foundation will disperse $75,000 in Prince Edward County alone.

Agencies are being asked to not apply to both United Way HPE and The County Foundation for the same program or service. However, they can apply to each organization for a different program or service to meet the increase or change in needs due to COVID-19. Application information will be shared between these two organizations for funding decision purposes.
