Assault with a weapon
On May 17, 2020 shortly after 9:00 a.m., Belleville Police were called to an apartment on Mary St. with regards to the report of a disturbance involving a male with a knife. Shorty after they arrived, police arrested a 23-year-old city resident for assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public. Lucas Devon Wood was taken to The Belleville Police station where he was later released on an undertaking with a court date of August 6 to answer to the charges. There were no injuries sustained as a result of the disturbance.
Stolen vehicle
On May 18,2020, Belleville Police took a report of a stolen vehicle that was taken from a Sidney St. parking lot sometime between 9:00 p.m. on May 16 and midnight on May 17. Stolen was a 4-door 2009 Volkswagen Golf grey in colour.
