The City of Quinte West has announced they will be opening the Trent Port Marina June 1.
Docks will be open to seasonal boaters but the main marina building, boaters lounge, washrooms, laundry and other facilities will remain closed for the time being in order to maintain physical distancing.
The fueling station will open the same day under reduced hours, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and fueling arrangements must be made in advance by calling on VHF Channel 68 or 613-392-2841 ext 7100.
Marina Assistant Manager Andrew Belej says they are excited to be able to welcome seasonal boaters back.
He says while he understands being unable to open the entire facility will be an inconvenience for some, they will continue to work towards an expanded opening as soon as it is safe to do so.
