Mischief to cabs
On May 14, 2020, at 10 a.m., police responded to a Moira Street West regarding mischief to cabs parked in the parking lot. Belleville Police were advised that at approximately 10:20 p.m. on May 13, an unknown suspect slashed tires on cabs and fled the area. If anyone has information on the incident, they are asked to contact Constable Dan Hounslow at dhounslow@police.belleville.on.ca.
Arrested on warrants
On May 15, 2020, at 12:05 a.m., police were patrolling an east end neighbourhood and observed two males on bikes. Police identified one of the males as 30-year-old Jesse Sturgess of Belleville who was currently wanted for breaching his probation. Sturgess was arrested and later released with a court date of July 16, 2020.
Disturbance leads to arrest
On May 15, 2020, at 1:30 a.m., police responded to an east end apartment building regarding a disturbance in an apartment building. On arrival, officers identified the involved persons, and learned that the female involved was on conditions not to communicate with the male, stemming from a prior domestic assault charge. A 33-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and later released with a court date of July 13, 2020.
