Falling asleep behind the wheel of a car is never a good idea and two people are very lucky the driver of a car in Belleville last night (Tuesday) fell asleep with his foot on the brake pedal and not the gas pedal.
City police discovered the car sitting at the intersection of Dundas Street East and MacDonald Avenue at 7:30.
Along with the sleeping driver there was a woman passed out in the passenger seat.
Krzysztof Wolf, 36, was charged with driving while impaired by drugs while 31-year-old Keyia-Marie Atkinson was charged with possession of fentanyl, obstructing police, and breaching probation.
Both are from Belleville and have July court dates.
