An important report in relation to water quality and quantity in Oak Lake will be coming to Quinte West council soon.
At a committee meeting today (Tuesday) the Director of Public Works and Environmental Services Chris Angelo said the city has invested around $350,000 to improving Oak Lake’s water and he is preparing a report with the expertise of a consultant that will map out future moves.
Mayor Jim Harrison says it’s clear that not all residents on the lake agree on the way forward, especially those with old septic systems but the city has to do the right thing to protect the lake.
Several members of the Public Works and Environmental Committee said the city has done a lot of work on the lake adding that it was time the landowners contributed a plan.
