Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Ottawa Street at approximately 9:15 p.m. last night. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Gregory Dwyer (age 58) of Marmora and Lake, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus
- Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily a vailable
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
- Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
- Driver fail to surrender licence
- No mudguards
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 25, 2020.
