Belleville city council could make a decision on amendments to its parks and open space by-law this Monday afternoon.
The city recently suggested amendments to the current by-law and then accepted public input on the proposed changes.
A total of 141 people made comments and proposed changes to the by-law.
Staff is proposing to make a few changes to the proposed parks by-law.
Those include increasing the number of people permitted to gather in a park without a permit to 25 from 15 and posting areas where fishing and rollerblading are not allowed rather than in areas where the activities are allowed.
The entire report on parks and open spaces can be found near the end of council’s “consent items” .
