Burn permits for the City of Belleville are now available for purchase online.
Belleville Fire and Emergency Services has lifted the total burn ban because of the recent rainfall in the region and improving spring conditions.
Eligible residences can apply online through the city’s website at https://belleville.ca/burn-permit.
Residents are encouraged to check out the online map and see if they are eligible to obtain a permit before applying.
Anyone wishing to burn is required to obtain a burn permit and follow the conditions stipulated on the permit.
Burns are generally not permitted within the inner municipal core (area south of Highway 401).
