Glenora Ferry passengers are being asked to wear protective face coverings going forward.
Communications Services Coordinator Alex Westendorp says Transport Canada is asking all travellers to be in possession of a removable face covering large enough to cover their mouth and nose while on board passenger vessels and ferries to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
This measure will be implemented at Glenora Ferry to protect the health and well-being of ferry users and staff during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Passengers are asked to use the ferry for essential travel only and to self-identify any COVID-19 symptoms by using the Transport Canada self-assessment questionnaire posted at the terminal.
Passengers are also required to practice physical distancing and to stay in their vehicle.
Public facilities such as washrooms and terminals remain closed.
