New gun legislation has caused a firestorm of debate, arguments, and a further split between rural and urban Canadians.
The Prime Minister announced a new ban on hundreds of kinds of firearms.
Dave Landles is the president of the Lower Trent Valley Fish and Game Club and he says the new legislation only makes people feel safe.
He says that going after legal gun owners, when it is illegal guns and gangs doing the majority of firearms violence is wrong.
He pointed to the situation in Nova Scotia. Landles says the tragedy was done by someone with an illegal weapon.
