On May 3, 2020 at approximately 10:30 p.m. officers of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a motor vehicle that had collided with a residence on County Road 8 in Greater Napanee.
L&A County OPP arrived on scene and observed the vehicle resting against the residence. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and the 22-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
As a result of the investigation, L&A County OPP has charged Jordan Snider, age 21, of Loyalist Township, contrary to the Criminal Code with
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
- Operation causing bodily harm
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand – bodily harm
The accused was further charged under the Highway Traffic Act with driving while under suspension.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on July 7, 2020.
The accused person’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
