A local business is stepping up to help United Way Hastings & Prince Edward and is hoping others will as well.
Tomorrow is “Giving Tuesday” and McDougall Insurance and Financial will match any donations up to a total of $10,000 if the money
is donated tomorrow.
Donations need to be made to the United Way’s COVID-19 Community Response Fund.
McDougall Insurance and Financial’s offer means the $10,000 will become a $20,000 donation.
Donations to the COVID-19 fund help to pay for basic needs like food and supplies, provide financial support to United Way sponsored organizations having difficulty meeting their obligations because of the pandemic, and to provide extra money to organizations providing emergency assistance to people.
