There is one new case of COVID-19 in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties according to the Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health Unit.
That brings the confirmed number of cases to 42 in the region. The public health unit is also reporting two new probable cases bringing the total to 201.
The most recent case is reported to be transmitted through close contact.
So far 20 people have recovered from the illness and four people have passed away.
