Belleville Police Service responded to 75 calls for service from April 30, 2020 at 5 a.m. to May 1, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Break and Enter
On April 30, 2020 at 11:45 a.m., police received a call to a west end address for a report that a male had broken into a residence and stolen money. Furthermore, the complainant reported that the male had damaged a shed on his property. A description of the male was provided to police and a short time later Aaron Woods of no fixed abode was arrested in relation to the incident. Woods was taken to Belleville Police Service where he was later released on an undertaking with a court date of July 16, 2020. Woods faces charges of Break and Enter as well as theft and mischief under $5000.
Public Intoxication
On April 30, 2020 at 11:50 p.m., police were called to Church St. with regards to a suspicious male that was seen around a residence. A male was located a short distance away and investigation resulted in the 38-year-old Belleville male being arrested for public intoxication. The male was taken to the Belleville Police Service where he spent the night and was released on a provincial offence notice in the morning.
