The day long light rain yesterday (Thursday) came within just one millimetre of a new rainfall record for an April 30.
According to Environment Canada and readings taken from CFB Trenton, 32.6 mm, or a little over one and a quarter inches, of rain fell in the Quinte region yesterday.
The record for the date came 24 years ago when 33.6 mm fell in 1996.
