High school students in both the local public and Catholic school boards will not be writing exams.
Both the Hastings Prince Edward and Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Boards say they’ll be following along with provincial guidelines, turning all remaining professional activity and exam days into “instructional days”.
A letter from ALCDSB Director of Education David DeSantis on Thursday noted that for his board exams, components of courses will be replaced by “culminating assignments”.
HPEDSB Director of Education Sean Monteith is expected to release a letter to students and families next week.
