Quinte West OPP have laid charges following an incident that created quite a sight Wednesday morning in Trenton.
A 36-year-old man from Trenton is charged with uttering threats to cause death, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assaulting a peace officer with a weapon and assaulting a peace officer.
He is currently being held in custody and will appear in court in Belleville at a later date.
Officers were called to an apartment building at the corner of East Davis Street and Trenton Street around 8:30.
The Emergency Response Team and Tactics and Rescue Unit also responded to the scene.
The incident came to an end around 12:30 and there was no threat to public safety.
