A weather system that is expected to bring upwards of 75mm of rain over three days has prompted Lower Trent Conservation to issue a flood outlook statement.
The conservation authority says nuisance flooding may occur within the local creeks within the LTC watershed region.
The LTC also says strong winds with gusts of up to 70 km/h hour are expected to increase the potential for surge-related flooding along the Lake Ontario shoreline as well as increase the potential for shoreline erosion.
