If you are a front line worker and don’t want to put your family at risk, it is tough to know what to do.
RVs for Canada’s Frontline is a Facebook group made up of volunteers who are connecting front line workers with community members who have RVs to lend out.
The group says “We are here to help connect the amazing heroes that are risking their lives to keep the rest of us safe and healthy, with an isolation unit, first and foremost. “In the Quinte region they connected a nurse with someone who was willing to loan out their RV during the COVID-19 epidemic so this RN could self-isolate in their driveway.
If you are looking for an RV or if you have one to loan you can connect with RVs for Canada’s Frontline on Facebook or email RV4Frontliners@Gmail.com.
Belleville General Hospital Foundation Executive Director Steve Cook says “We know that some front line workers are staying in hotels while others are living in RVs in their driveways. Everyone is doing what they can to keep their families safe. Sometimes you don’t know where to turn and this is just another great example of communities working together to solve a crisis.”
