Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board Director of Education Sean Monteith says the utilization of the now closed Quinte Secondary School in partnership with the City of Belleville and Quinte Health Care has grown.
He says QHC is now using up to 30,000 square feet of the school for an assessment, treatment and triage centre for COVID-19.
The cafeteria, main office, guidance office and now the library are all in use providing a “safe setting with all the technical requirements”.
The update was provided at Monday night’s Board of Trustees pubic meeting.
