Three people from Quinte West and one person from Belleville are facing charges after a series of break and enters into storage lockers in Quinte West.
In mid-April the Quinte West OPP along with the East Region Community Street Crime Unit began an investigation of possible stolen property from storage lockers in Glen Miller and Frankford.
Last week, officers executed several search warrants at storage lockers in the same locations as the break and enters as well as a home on Crown Street in Trenton.
Over $30,000 worth of stolen items was recovered including electronics, camping gear, furniture, comic books and other collectibles.
Natasha Moroney, 44, of Trenton and Joshua Morgan, 28, of Foxboro were each charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 – two counts
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 – two counts
- Fail to Comply with a Court Order
Additionally, Morgan was charged with:
- Break and Enter – seven counts
- Fail to Comply with a Probation Order – two counts
- Fail to Comply with a Court Order
Zachary Vautour, 24, of Frankford was arrested on April 26 and charged with:
- Break and Enter – seven counts
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 – two counts
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 – two counts
- Fail to Comply with a Court Order
Damion Lavanious, 36, of Trenton was arrested on April 26 in Belleville and has been charged with:
- Break and Enter – seven counts
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 – two counts
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 – two counts
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order – three counts
- Fail to Comply with a Court Order – two counts
All were held in custody for a hearing today (Monday) in Belleville.
