The City of Belleville wishes to announce that with the extended provincial restrictions regarding COVID-19, the City will extend residents’ March parking and bus passes until the end of May.
Those with March parking permits and transit passes may continue to use these passes through until the end of May at which time the situation will be assessed and further action determined.
“We are working hard to find ways to reduce the stress of current conditions for our residents,” said Mayor Mitch Panciuk. “We believe the extension of the provincial restrictions to include May continues to make challenges for residents when trying to access essential services within our community. By extending parking and transit passes we are trying to ease those obstacles. We’re counting on you to follow the safety restrictions transit has implemented for your safety and that of the drivers, and whenever possible, stay at home.”
Please use transit only when absolutely necessary for groceries, medical appointments or to go to work if you can’t work from home. If you’re experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or any illness do not use public transit.
