Even though casinos have been closed since March 16, the Ontario Lottery Gaming Corporation still handed over a significant cheque to the City of Belleville, for hosting the Shorelines Casino.
The City has received a little more than $656,000 in non-tax gaming revenue from the fourth quarter of the OLG fiscal year, stretching from January 1 to March 31.
Through the entire 2019/20 fiscal year, Belleville got more than $3.2 million for hosting the casino, with more than $10 million brought in since the casino opened.
