On Monday April 20, 2020 around 2:30 p.m., Prince Edward County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in Picton.
Officers observed alcohol and cannabis readily available to the driver.
A subsequent search revealed an amount of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine.
Roger Venton, age 40 from Centreville, Ontario has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a schedule one substance
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
- Drive motor vehicle not in accordance with permit limitations
- Driving motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on June 24, 2020
