The Mayor of Quinte West would like to see flags flown at half-mast on some city properties for the duration of the provincially declared emergency caused by the COVID19 pandemic.
Mayor Jim Harrison’s office has formally requested council approve the move out of respect for the many who’ve lost their lives due to the coronavirus.
If approved flags would be at half-mast at city hall, OPP headquarters, and on Mount Pelion.
Quinte West council will discuss the request at its electronic meeting Monday night.
