On Friday evening around 5:15 p.m., police were called to a bank on Front Street to a report of a man threatening a woman.
The man allegedly threatened violence against the woman if she did not provide transportation for him.
Police quickly located 43-year-old Mark Justin Ferguson of Belleville and took him into custody for uttering threats to cause bodily harm.
He was later released with a court date on July 2.
