The COVID19 pandemic is forcing a lot of people into a tight corner and some of those people are the organizers of longtime community events held each year in the spring.
On Monday, Quinte West council will discuss a staff recommendation that all city led and third party events to be held in May and June on city property be cancelled.
Many events such as the Bay of Quinte Home Show and the Cancer Society’s Relay for Life have already been cancelled.
Not yet cancelled or postponed are Kiwanis Walleye World, Kinsmen Carnival, Barks by the Bay, Ride for Paws, the start of the DBIA Concert Series, Auto Odyssey Show, and Pentecostals of Quinte Concert.
Quinte West’s City Council meeting on April 20, 2020, will be conducted electronically and broadcast live at 6:30 p.m. on the City’s YouTube channel here: http://bit.ly/LiveQWCouncil.
