An appeal of a Belleville council decision to not allow two semi-detached residential buildings on Church Street has been dismissed by the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.
Two Toronto area men had proposed building two two-storey, semi-detached residences with one being at 55 Church Street and other at 59 Church.
Each would house more than 2 famies.
An existing house would be in between.
Council believed there wasn’t enough parking and that the proposal didn’t fit with the neighbourhood.
The developers appealed but that was dismissed when they didn’t respond to the Tribunal within a set time period.
