A 27-year-old Belleville man has been charged following a stabbing in the city on Thursday night.
Belleville Police say around 8:30 p.m. they were called to an east end residence following a 911 call.
Officers arrived and arrested a suspect who is now facing charges of aggravated assault, uttering death threats, weapons dangerous, unlawfully in a dwelling and mischief under $5,000.
A 27-year-old man from Tyendinaga was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Criminal Investigations division and Forensic Identification Unit continue to investigate.
The suspect attended court today (Friday) and was remanded into custody pending a show cause hearing scheduled for Monday.
