Firefighters are dousing hot spots and cleaning up after a potentially dangerous fire an an old automotive repair shop right next to a gas station on Highway 62 in the area of Bayview Auto this morning (Friday).
Firefighters from Belleville stations 3 and 4 and Quinte West’s Tucker’s Corners hall responded at around 4:40 this morning to the fire in a building next to an Esso gas station north of Maitland Drive.
The building was fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival but crews worked to protect a nearby propane tank and other structures.
At 7 o’clock the fire was declared as being under control.
There were no reports of injury.
