Residents in Prince Edward County are being reminded the only safe thing to flush is toilet paper.
Staff say this is especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic as the municipality is attempting to preserve staff resources by limiting preventable service calls.
Disinfectant wipes, paper towels and facial tissues do not break down and can cause clogs and costly damage to waste water systems and home plumbing systems.
