The Belleville Police Service has some advice for people who suddenly and for no known reason find their phone line not working.
Police say if the line doesn’t work or you’re suddenly rerouted to another location, you should contact your provider and your bank as it’s possible your system has been hacked.
Police say doing so could prevent the loss of personal information and money.
