Staff with the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board are hoping that outdoor facilities such as tracks will be allowed to remain open during the COVID19 pandemic.
Currently all school buildings and their entire grounds are closed to the public under orders from the provincial government and public health units.
However, residents have still had to be warned by police after being found using school track facilities for exercise.
School board staff have asked Hastings Prince Edward Public Health to allow the public to use tracks as long as physical distancing is practiced.
