Officials with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health say some positive COVID-19 related trends in the area are continuing.
There have been no new cases confirmed in the last four days, with the number steady at 26 and the number of probable cases has steadily dropped since late last week, currently sitting at 260.
Spokesperson Karen LaRose tells Quinte News the number of probable cases changes depending on how many patients have tested negative and eliminated from the list, or tested positive and added to confirmed list.
She says the exact number isn’t available at the moment, but more than 800 tests have been completed in Hastings Prince Edward and more testing will be coming, with two local assessment centres now set up and the province securing more testing kits, while also increasing lab capacity and criteria.
In Northumberland County, the number of positive cases is steady at 14.
