Lower Trent Conservation is warning that high winds in the area today (Monday) will whip up the waters of Lake Ontario and the Bay of Quinte and have issued a flood watch.
Lower Trent warns that property owners on the lake and bay could see some flooding due to high waves crashing onshore.
On top of that, 20 to 30 millimetres of rain are expected in the area but the greatest threat of flooding will come from wave action.
Both the rain and wind are expected to taper off tonight.
