A Belleville man escaped serious injuries after losing control of his motorcycle and being thrown from the bike without a helmet on, on Friday afternoon.
Belleville Police attended the scene on Zion Road in Thurlow Ward around 3:50 p.m.
It was determined that the man lost control of the bike and was thrown into a soft ditch. He was taken to Belleville General Hospital for minor injuries.
The 57-year-old man has been charged with careless driving and driving with an improper class of driver’s licence.
The Harley Davidson motorcycle was demolished.
