The Belleville Police Service responded to 57 calls between April 9, 2020 at 5 a.m. and April 10, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Suspended Driver
On April 9, 2020 at 7 a.m., a Belleville Police officer was conducting traffic enforcement and stopped a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Airport Parkway. It was determined that the 26-year-old Belleville resident had a suspended driver’s licence. The driver was charged and given a June 1 court date.
Break and Enter
On April 9, 2020 at 10 a.m., Belleville Police were called to an abandoned residence in the east end of the city regarding unwanted persons who were living inside. Police attended and located two persons inside who had broken into the residence. As a result of the investigation the 26-year-old male with no fixed address was charged with Break and Enter, Mischief, and 3 counts of breach of Probation. The 26-year-old female with no fixed address was charged with Break and Enter, Mischief and breach of probation. Both were later released with a court date on June 4, 2020.
Asking for Witnesses
On April 9, 2020 at 1 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Moira Street and Pinnacle Street. One of the drivers suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision and both vehicles were not driveable.
